gutter cleaning

Our experienced team have the skills and technology to get your gutters running like

brand new

We operate with a high-powered petrol engine that has the capacity to suck all dirt, mud and debris, clean from your gutters and roof lining. Unlike conventional gutter cleaning companies, our high tech ‘gutter vac’ sucks the mess through our filter system and transports it to large drums, ready to be disposed of.

Regular gutter cleaning is crucial to maintaining high functioning gutters. Gutters clogged with sticks, leaves, mould and other debris not only prevent the gutters from fulfilling their purpose, but can also cause leaks in the roof and lead to internal water damage to your home.

Clogged up gutters make nice homes for rodents, pests and unhealthy mould!

How often do I need gutter cleaning?

It is recommended that most homes in Victoria have their gutters and downpipes cleaned between two and four times per year to keep your gutters functioning to full capacity and your home safe.

If you have a few large trees close to your home, you will likely need gutter cleaning three or four times per year, especially if you have eucalyptus or pine which shed leaves all year round. If you only have one tree in the area or none your gutters may only require a clean once or twice a year.

If there are no tall trees close to your home, it is still recommended that you have your gutters cleaned once or twice a year, as we know that leaves, dirt and debris can travel a long way in our crazy Melbourne weather.

The importance of gutter cleaning in Melbourne specifically

In Melbourne we know that sometimes we feel like we experience 4 seasons in one day – it is wild and unpredictable to say the least. When a storm hits (often out of nowhere) it is extremely important that you have done the preventative work beforehand so that your gutters are ready.

When gutters are neglected, it could result in extensive, costly water damage to your home. Water may even penetrate the structure of your home if gutters overflow which can cause rot and damage to the wooden posts, beams and plaster.

When dirt and debris is left to sit in gutters, it will eventually lead to rusting and leaking. A prevention is better than a cure. By having gutter cleaning regularly, you will extend their life and save money on repairs and replacements in the long run.
